বাংলাদেশ বিজ্ঞান একাডেমী জাতীয়  বিজ্ঞান অলিম্পিয়াড আয়োজন করতে যাচ্ছে। আগামী ২রা ডিসেম্বর থেকে প্রতি বছর জাতীয় বিজ্ঞান অলিম্পিয়াড অনুষ্ঠিত হবে  

The Academy is organizing the National Science Olympiad for the 1st time in Bangladesh and has formed the Science Olympiad Committee with Prof. Mohammad Kaykobad, Associate Secretary, BAS as convener.
 
The main objective of the Olympiad is to inspire and motivate young students to take interest in science education. The Olympiad will be held at two levels: (a) Divisional i.e. in 6 divisions of the country, and (b) National.  The Olympiad will be organized in 2 groups:
1. Junior Group with the students of Class VI, Class VII and Class VIII
 
2. Secondary Group with the students of Class IX and Class X.
 
The Divisional Olympiad and National Olympiad will be held on 2nd Friday of December and 2nd Friday of January every year.
