Sustainable Development and Human Welfare in the Country: Urgent Needs and Actions!

It is extremely important to launch a new directorate to improve the quality of education in the country and keep pace with global competition. This directorate will work under the Ministry of Education, aiming to enhance the quality of education through research and higher studies, and to create world-class scientists.

The main objectives and functions of the proposed directorate are as follows:

1. Expansion of Advanced Research:

This directorate will work with universities and research institutes across the country to improve research activities. Opportunities for advanced technology, scientific research infrastructure, and training will be increased. As a result, the quality of research in the country will improve, which will directly support the socio-economic development of the nation.

2. Creating Opportunities for Scholarships and Higher Education:

Initiatives will be taken to provide scholarships both domestically and abroad for students pursuing higher education. Through this, talented students will have the opportunity to pursue higher studies at home and abroad, which will help develop their skills and knowledge.

3. Attracting Foreign Researchers and Students:

By creating opportunities for high-quality research and education, young and skilled researchers from various countries will come to work in Bangladesh. This will increase opportunities for the exchange of global knowledge and further enhance the research sector.

4. Developing Skilled Scientists and Increasing Foreign Remittance:

Scientists developed through this directorate will have opportunities for employment abroad, increasing the flow of foreign currency into the country’s economy. As a result, foreign dependency in the science and technology sectors will decrease and local employment opportunities will be created.

5. Application of New Technologies in Education and Research:

By using modern technologies such as AI, Robotics, Nanotechnology, etc., research activities will be further developed. This will lead to new innovations and bring the country’s science and technology sector to international standards.

6. Equal Opportunity for Both Sides:

By creating equal opportunities for both local and international researchers, Bangladesh will become a central hub in the field of scientific research. This will not only advance the country, but also make a significant contribution to the global research community.

In conclusion,

Establishing the “Department of Research, Scholarship and Higher Studies” will be a groundbreaking step for the country’s education system and research sector. It will not only benefit domestic talented researchers but also attract international researchers and students. As a result, the country’s economy and education system will develop, building a strong foundation for Bangladesh’s future generations.
