Many of us are somewhat familiar with GPS (Global Positioning System) devices. With GPS, one can determine the location, direction, or altitude above sea level of a place. However, with GPS tracking technology, it is possible to find the current location (latitude, longitude), direction, and altitude above sea level of any object equipped with a GPS tracker. Recently, in the United Kingdom, a technology has been invented that allows people to locate missing children using jackets that contain GPS trackers. The British clothing company Bladerunner has launched jackets on the market equipped with GPS tracking devices. No matter where in the world you are wearing this jacket, your location can be pinpointed through GPS. The jacket comes with a rechargeable battery that lasts for 18 hours. The price of jackets for children is $500, while jackets for adults cost $700. Additionally, a monthly fee of $20 is required for the tracking service.
