Dr. Mohammad Sagar Hossain is currently working as a Research and Development Scientist at Greatorex Textile Industries Private Limited, Victoria, Australia. He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and has long been engaged in polymer science, sustainable plastic recycling, 3D printing, biodegradable materials, and industry-based research.
In this interview, Dr. Sagar Hossain will discuss his research experiences, the realities of working in industry after academic research, the future of sustainable materials development, and opportunities for young people in Bangladesh in research and science. The discussion will particularly address how international research experience can be utilized to develop science- and technology-based solutions in the Bangladeshi context.
