Tips and Strategies for Creating a Good Research Paper: What Do Editors Want?

When it comes to writing a research paper, conducting the research alone is not enough; presenting it in an organized, structured, and fluent manner is also extremely important. Often, even if the research is original, a disorganized text, incomplete information, or poor presentation can prevent a good paper from being accepted. In particular, for publication in international journals, editors and reviewers look at several criteria at the initial stage to determine the acceptability of a research paper.

In their research paper titled “Tips and tricks for building a good paper: what editors want,” four experienced and world-renowned journal editors—Jon Karlsson, Bruce Reider, Edward M. Wojtys, and Stefano Zaffagnini—have provided valuable guidance to researchers based on their extensive experience.
