Then Smriti says, “Now turn this ad into an Instagram post.” After a few tries, two eye-catching images are generated by ChatGPT. In the first, a woman emerges from the gym drinking Purebiotics; in the second, two friends—one Asian—walk through the streets of Manhattan chatting, beverage in hand. The whole process took just five minutes!

For many small business owners and entrepreneurs like Smriti, this feels almost like a dream come true. Where it once took thousands of taka and several days, now high-quality ads can be made in just minutes. But the question is, what’s driving this change?

Recently, OpenAI has enabled image generation for everyone on ChatGPT, through GPT-4o. As a result, dependence on designers, photographers, and models will decrease; ads can be made faster, easier, and at lower cost. This shift in the marketing sector isn’t just about affordability—it has the power to completely transform marketing strategies.

Marketing expert Ahsan Kabir says, “AI technology is revolutionizing marketing. To stay competitive, mastering ‘prompting’—that is, giving clear instructions to AI—will become essential. In the future, this skill will be necessary not only in marketing but also in other creative fields.”

Writer and technologist Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal says, “AI is not a substitute for human talent; rather, it will help people become even more creative and effective. Collaborating with technology will create new working models for the future. However, we must be cautious not to overlook ethics when using AI.”
