Early Life and Childhood:
Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar was born on October 19, 1910, in Lahore, India (then British India). Although his family valued education, they grew up in a very modest and rural environment. From an early age, Chandrasekhar was extremely gifted in academics and had a deep fascination for science. He completed his primary education at a village school. However, the limitations of village life could not hold him back; instead, they sparked in him an even greater curiosity to learn more.
