In the interview series of Biggani.org, this time we sat down with researcher and Internet Engineering Task Force member Zaheduzzaman Sarker. The interview was conducted by Biggani.org’s editor, Mashiur Rahman.
Introduction to Zaheduzzaman Sarker:
After completing his studies at Rangpur Cadet College, he graduated in Computer Science from the Islamic University of Technology in Gazipur. He later moved to Sweden for higher studies and completed his Master’s at Luleå University of Technology. He began his career at Ericsson Research in Ericsson. There, as a researcher, he worked on future network architectures and was also involved in the standardization of various technologies.
The highlights of the video interview are:
- He shared his work experience with WebRTC, which is currently used in common video conferencing technologies.
- He shared his experiences at the IETF, or Internet Engineering Task Force. For a Bangladeshi, working at such an international organization is very rare.
- He gave his opinion that artificial intelligence is not a threat to us, but rather will make our work easier.
- He gave the following advice to young researchers:
- (1) Be open-minded and have a mindset of learning every day.
- (2) Do not be afraid; move forward with confidence.
