Additionally, he has developed a prescription recognition (OCR) system capable of analyzing handwritten prescriptions to identify medicine information. Answer: I am Md. Jamil Khan. I recently completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering. My main areas of interest are Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning. I am passionate about learning new technologies and solving problems. In the future, I want to build a career as a data scientist and AI engineer.
Question: What is the focus of your research?
Answer: My main research was on improving data quality and using machine learning for heart disease detection. By collecting and processing various health-related datasets, I developed an AI model that can analyze patient data to predict the likelihood of heart disease and help doctors make quicker decisions.
Additionally, I developed a prescription recognition system (OCR) that can identify medicine names and necessary information from handwritten prescriptions. By utilizing computer vision and AI, this system saves time and reduces the chances of errors.
In another project, I applied CNN and transformer models to analyze various medical images to detect cancer accurately.
Question: How do your research works benefit, or will benefit, society?
Answer: My work aims to ensure the effective application of technology in the health sector. The heart disease prediction model helps to quickly identify patient risks. The prescription recognition system can contribute to saving time and reducing errors. The cancer detection project can assist doctors in more accurate diagnoses. As a result, the healthcare system can become faster, more effective, and more reliable.
Question: What message would you like to give to young students in Bangladesh?
Answer: I want to say—never think your dreams are too small. Perseverance and a willingness to learn new technologies will take you forward. You must have a mindset to learn from mistakes. Try to solve real-world problems. Today’s small steps can become a big contribution to the country in the future.
